This work around beliefs is drawn from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and was set out by Robert Dilts in his book Changing Belief Systems with Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

NLP offers effective techniques to help people transform their limiting beliefs into beliefs that signal trust in a positive future, a sense of being capable and able to handle one’s responsibilities, and of having a strong sense of self-worth.
